We are going to take a look at the first five ingredients of Royal Canin CONTROL FORMULA Cat Food. The first five ingredients are a good indication of the quality of cat food. The ingredients before the first fat source usually make up the vast majority of the cat food.
 

    Rice, chicken meal, ground corn, corn gluten meal, chicken fat, natural flavors, dried egg product, tomato pomace, anchovy oil (source of EPA/DHA), soya oil, potassium chloride, calcium sulfate, sodium bisulfate, fructo-oligosaccharides, flaxseed, DL-methionine, taurine, dried brewers yeast extract (source of mannan-oligosaccharides), choline chloride, monocalcium phosphate, Vitamins [DL-alpha tocopherol acetate (source of vitamin E), niacin supplement, biotin, riboflavin supplement (vitamin B2), D-calcium pantothenate, vitamin A acetate, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), folic acid, vitamin B12 supplement, vitamin D3 supplement], Trace Minerals [zinc oxide, zinc proteinate, ferrous sulfate, manganese proteinate, copper proteinate, copper sulfate, manganous oxide, calcium iodate, sodium selenite], marigold extract (Tagetes erecta L.), rosemary extract, preserved with natural mixed tocopherols (source of vitamin E) and citric acid.

    Are we reading the same can?? My first 5 ingredients are beef, meat by-products,chicken by-products, chicken liver, and rice flour. Next are chicken, salmon, guar gum,flax seed, and choline chloride.

    Can there be two Royal Canin Control Formula companies????

    If you are reading your ingredients from the can, then that would be the problem. As of right now we are just reviewing the dry recipes. The ingredients that are listed are based off the dry version. We will be reviewing canned versions later on down the road.

    I have two cats on this product and though it is a high price for cat food, my cats like it. I have been told that this product is not available shortly. Is this true?
