Fancy Feast Dry Cat Food
Fancy Feast is a brand of cat food that is produced by Nestle Purina Petcare. Nestle Purina PetCare was formed by a merger between the Swiss-based company Nestle, Nestle's Friskies PetCare Company, and Ralston Purina Company in the USA. The Purina company was originally founded in 1894, when a livestock feed company called Purina Mills was created by William H. Danforth. In 1902, this company was merged with a cereal company to produce the “Ralston-Purina Company”. Fancy Feast cat food is only one of the many brands produced by Nestle Purina PetCare. Though the Fancy Feast brand of cat food has not been involved in any recalls, many Alpo dog food brands (that are also produced by Nestle Purina PetCare) were involved in the 2007 pet food recall.

Fancy Feast Dry Cat Food Final Thoughts
Though many consumers choose to feed Fancy Feast brand cat food to their cats (largely due to the low price and widespread availability), there have been some reports of pieces of bone contained in some types of food. However, by most customer accounts, this is only suspected to have occurred in wet canned Fancy Feast formulas that contain fish, fish by-products, or fish meal. Some cats may be able to properly digest Fancy Feast dry cat food, since it does contain a higher amount of carbohydrates and filler ingredients than some other dry cat food formulas.

Actually my vet recommended some Fancy Feast canned cat food (NOT ALL OF THEM AND NOT THE DRY KIND) for my cat who is diabetic and doesn’t want to eat the vet special cat food that has liver as the main ingredient, he doesn’t like liver.
The one she recommended are high in protein and low in CHO (whatever that is) and he has been doing well for 3 years now with daily injection of insulin.

My girlfriend is convinced she sent her cats to a premature death by feeding them fancy feast. After extensive research, our two cats now eat many of the foods on this list. They are currently eating California Natural.
