My two kittens (8 mo) are doing very well on Blue Buffalo kitten formula. They readily go for it at feeding times and their health seems to be excellent. Both have very nice coats and clear eyes. The quality ingredients in Blue Buffalo seem to make a difference in comparison to bargain brands and even “upscale” marks like Iams that I’ve fed previous cats.

This food worked wonderful for one of my kittens; her coat looked beautiful. However, it gave my other kitten diarrhea and the worst gas I’ve ever smelt. Poor thing I love her to death but she couldn’t sleep in bed with me because I would wake up in terror, and I had to explain to anyone who came over what the smell was. I know it was the food because when I switched her over it stopped and now we are a happy family again. I’m thinking maybe the protein content was too high and her stomach couldn’t handle it?
