9Lives Plus Care: Grilled Tuna and Egg Flavor cat food formual is designed for senior cats who are seven years of age or older. The first five ingredients of this formula are ground corn, corn gluten meal, poultry by-product meal, whole wheat and animal digest. Other ingredients include salt, meat & bone meal, tuna meal, choline chloride and copper sulfate. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 31% Protein and 9% Fat.

    Whole ground corn, corn gluten meal, poultry by-product meal, whole wheat, animal digest, animal fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), meat and bone meal, phosphoric acid, calcium carbonate, salt, potassium chloride, yeast culture, titanium dioxide, tuna meal, choline chloride, taurine, minerals (zinc oxide, ferrous sulfate, manganous oxide, copper sulfate, calcium iodate, sodium selenite), L-lysine, vitamins (vitamin E supplement, niacin supplement, d-calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin supplement, vitamin A supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, menadione sodium bisulfite complex, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement, vitamin D3 supplement), egg product, dl-methionine, yellow 5, red 40, yellow 6, BHA (used as a preservative), natural and artificial flavor (source of grilled flavor), blue 1, rosemary extract.

    Whole Ground Corn - the entire ear of corn ground, without husks, with no greater portion of cob than occurs in the ear corn in its natural state. Corn Gluten Meal - the dried residue from corn after the removal of the larger part of the starch and germ, and the separation of the bran by the process employed in the wet milling manufacture of corn starch or syrup, or by enzymatic treatment of the endosperm.

    Poultry By-Product Meal - consists of the ground, rendered, clean parts of the carcass of slaughtered poultry, such as necks, feet, undeveloped eggs, intestines, exclusive of feathers, except in such amounts as might occur unavoidably in good processing practices.

    Whole Wheat - ground whole kernel, presumably equivalent to AAFCO's Wheat Mill Run, Wheat Middlings, Wheat Shorts or Wheat Red Dog, whose principal differences are in the percentage of crude fiber

    Animal Digest - material which results from chemical and/or enzymatic hydrolysis of clean and un-decomposed animal tissue. The animal tissues used shall be exclusive of hair, horns, teeth, hooves and feathers, except in such trace amounts as might occur unavoidably in good factory practice and shall be suitable for animal feed.

    I have always fed 9 lives and I tried this variety and my cats are vomiting it up all over the place. Never have i had this happen

    My cat became seriously ill after eating this food. He started vomiting a foamy yellowish-green substance followed by a green fluid.
    Fortunately, I found an herbal medication at my local pet store that fixed the problem. I will never again use this product. Stay away!
